Summer 2024 Updates

We have been very busy with updates and features for Research Logix over the summer. This brief update will cover all the updates that have already been deployed, as well as, give you a heads up on features that are in development and will be deployed soon.

Login with ORCID

We are pleased to announce the new ability for users to login with their ORCID credentials. Mainly targeting users of our Trainee/Training program module, the use of ORCID login will allow your trainees to seamlessly login using their known credentials. This will allow users to quickly access their RLOGX Profile to provide critical career updates for Training Program tracking.

Import Clinical Trials from ClinicalTrials.gov

Similar to importing funding from NIH Reporter and Importing Publications from PubMed, we have provided a way to import Clinical Trial basic information from ClinicalTrials.gov. Our goal for this utility is to assist administrators with linking their Researchers’ profiles with sourced information regarding clinical trials. Soon, we will be implementing a feature to connect publications and research projects to clinical trials for enhanced reporting options.

Appointments » New “Division” Field

A new Division identifier has been added to the appointments module for the RLOGX Researcher Profile.

CCSG Module

Reporting Page – Redesign

Our reporting options have grown over the years, and we felt it was time to do some restructuring to provide a better user experience in finding the reports you need.

CCSG Publications by Center & Program – New Filtering Option

Research Logix automatically aligns a publication designation to a program based on a researcher’s cancer center program alignment date in conjunction with the publication date. However, we have received requests to bypass the dates of the appointment to show any affiliation of a researcher and their publication(s). We have added a new (optional) filtering parameter to bypass the dates of their appointment.

Funding by Dictionary

Within Research Logix, we have allowed users to create their own dictionaries to identify common term(s) found within publication abstracts and titles. We have extended this capability to our Funding Workspace. This will allow you to view funding assigned to your researchers in a different way.

CCSG Hub

This new feature will provide a centralized area for your administration to manage key elements for your CCSG Renewals and Progress Reporting. Currently, the Hub will provide an opportunity for you to create a centralized repository for your critical documents. We are looking to expand this resource based on the needs of our end users.

iLab Integration

Per a request by UPMC Hillman Comprehensive Cancer Center, we have developed an direct integration between Agilent’s iLab and Research Logix. This solution is currently in development, but aims to solve the problem of having to manually identify lab PI’s associated with Cancer Center Membership. Our reporting utility will quickly identify the labs associated with Cancer Center Members to showcase utilization of a Shared Resource by Centers’ Research Programs.
